Planned Giving - The Munros

Leaving a Legacy that Matters

Jim Munro received life-saving care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Grateful for the care he received, he and his wife, Trish, decided to give back by making a planned gift in support of Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer's Center (VMAC). The Munros wanted to make a gift in honor of each of their mothers who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. They hope their planned gift will improve outcomes for patients facing Alzheimer’s disease in Middle Tennessee and beyond.

The Munros met with Angela Jefferson, PhD, VMAC director, who shared her vision for the center and the type of research her team is doing. Gifts like the one from the Munros give researchers the opportunity to engage in high-risk, high-reward discoveries to work toward finding cures and improving patient outcomes.

The Munros believe that a community is made up of people who have a desire to give back and help others. They hope their gift will do just that while creating a lasting legacy.
